Studying stays on your device

Exams, flashcards, your mistake bank and your progress are stored only on your phone. You can study without an account and without an internet connection, and none of this study data is sent to us.

What we collect when you create an account

• Your phone number, used to sign you in with a one-time SMS code, and an optional password.
• Your display name, your school grade and, if you add one, a profile picture.
• If you apply to be a teacher: the verification document you upload.
• What you do in communities: join requests, posts and images you share, and your answers and results for assignments your teacher posts.
• A push notification token for your device, so we can send you notifications you have enabled.
• Crash reports from release builds, with personal details removed, so we can fix bugs.

How we use it

We use this data only to run the app: to sign you in, show your communities and assignments, let teachers grade the assignments they post, and send notifications. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads. Your phone number is never shown to other users.

Services we rely on

• Authevo sends the SMS sign-in codes.
• Google Firebase delivers push notifications (Cloud Messaging) and crash reports (Crashlytics).
• Cloudflare R2 stores uploaded images and documents.
• Our API and database run on servers we operate. Each service processes data only on our behalf.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account and everything linked to it at any time from the app: Profile, then Delete account. It is removed immediately. If you no longer have the app, email us from the contact below with the phone number on your account and we delete it within 30 days. Uninstalling the app removes the study data stored on your phone.

Students

Miran is built for secondary school students. We collect only what is needed to run the features above. If you are a parent and believe your child's data should be removed, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page and the date above.
